Balasamskara Kendra at Badarikashrama is a parent-run program and about a dozen parents participate regularly with their kids from ages of three to twelve. The children are given exposure to the basic tenets of what Hindusim is. Parent-run classes run from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Parents take turns holding classes that tell children cultural stories with good moral implications, and that also provide spiritual guidance in a manner easy for the young to follow. Students also get Hindi lessons for about a half hour in every session. On alternate weeks, new concepts are introduced. These concepts are reinforced the rest of the time. Classes are interactive, and students enjoy learning and playing together.
